First, these maps must undergo a beta test and for that, Techland announced that all players who already have the full version of the game, can log on, register and sign up for tests. Techland wants to make sure that these 8 maps will have the best quality design and so, they decided to grant players this testing option. Call of Juarez is a Wild West shooter which features authentic western situations like brawls in saloons, gunfights and even old-fashioned western brothels. Players can trek through the vast territories that once were the home of famous bandits like Billy the Kid and Butch and Sundance and team up with Native Americans.

The multiplayer mode in COJ takes part in typical western situations like ambushes, town gunfighting, liberations of prisoners, and of course, everybody’s favorite train and bank robberies.
In the singleplayer mode, gamers will have to choose which role they would like to play, between two opposite characters- Billy and Ray. Billy is a rebel while Ray is a former gunslinger turned into a priest.
