Rumor: Resident Evil 4 Porting to Wii?
Okay, so Capcom will be holding an event on April 12th, where we may or may not hear about Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, neither or both. At this point, nobody knows, and adding more fuel to the fire are retail listings of Resident Evil 4 (yes, you read that correctly) coming to Wii at a reduced $29.99 pricing.
What the hell is going on? Capcom won’t tell us. “Capcom has not made any announcements about a new Resident Evil title,” is all a company representative would say — not surprising considering official announcements are just weeks off.
The rumors stem from listings on both EB Games/GameStop and a Japanese retailer. Both listings have since been removed, but the magic of copy-and-paste allows us to show what the listings did look like, before the powers that be intervened.
