Ubisoft’s tropical shooter sequel is close to completion
Someone from the Ubisoft staff recently did a huge no-no as a 2GB file leaked tremendous amounts of information to the internet, revealing unannounced titles, including sequels in the Far Cry and Splinter Cell series. Although the file was quickly removed, the damage is
done as it contained artwork, screenshots, logos and additional files like the Far Cry Vengeance tech demo. The first installment was a tropical first person shooter that follows the story of Jack Carver, a man seeking tranquility aboard his boat, who always manages to get himself into trouble with hordes of armed goons.

In an attempt to save face, Nintendo today announced Ubisoft’s Far Cry Vengeance, yet another shooter for Wii to supplement the launch date lineup. The title picks up where Far Cry Evolution left off, extending the storyline and introducing new maps and weapons to appease your appetite for destruction. The game makes good use of Nintendo’s technological leap, employing the Wii-mote and nunchuck for driving, shooting, slashing, and jumping.

Making your way through the rebel-infested tropical inferno, you’ll notice the ever popular Feral attacking return. Jump higher, run faster and slash with more inner rage as ever before engaged in the unique Far Cry totemic frenzy. On the other hand, stealth plays an important role as ever, enabling your character to take down enemies from behind with a machete or sneak past guards and choosing a better place for all out fighting. ATVs, pickup trucks or jetskis are just a few of the vehicles you’ll encounter. In addition, we’ll get to see the Chaos mode multiplayer battle where the last man standing wins it all.
