Only adds Hard and Super difficulties, but doesn’t cost a thing.

We still don’t know when Hironobu Sakaguchi’s Blue Dragon will end up on our shores (summer’s a safe bet), but Microsoft and Mistwalker have rolled out the first round of downloadable content on Xbox Live today, says Joystiq.

The initial release only contains the ability to enable Hard and Super difficulty levels (all they’re really doing is tweaking the stats of enemies, anyway), but RPG fans in need of another reason to play through Blue Dragon have it. Until the next round of content, reportedly containing some more tangible content like additional quests, that is.

But seriously, Microsoft. How about a release date?
