DemonWare technology to be used in another game

The fourth installment in the Splinter Cell series, Double Agent, will be featuring DemonWare technology for its multiplayer mode. DemonWare will power the online features of the game.

Arnaud Carrette, Ubisoft Producer for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Double Agent declared that his company
needed the best technology to match their “groundbreaking multiplayer gameplay in the Splinter Cell series”. He added that by Using DemonWare, Sam Fisher fans will be able to get the best online experience possible.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell will have Xbox 360, P, PS2, and GameCube support. The Xbox version of the game will be released on the October 19 while the other version will hit stores on October 26.

The DemonWare company is not a beginner in the field, as it had previously worked with big names like Activision, Codemasters, Namco, THQ, Atari Sega and, of course, Ubisoft. Games like Starship Troopers, Call of Duty 2, Big Red One, Payout Poker & Casino have all used DemonWare technology.
