The much anticipated game Resistance 3 exclusively for PlayStation 3, a first person shooter is about to meet its launch date and already it is being assaulted by skepticism regarding the future of the franchise. With an interview with the Marcus Smith the creative director of Resistance 3, showed a glimpse that Resistance series still has a hope but Insomniac Games might be aloof of it.

During the interview Marcus Smith reminded that Resistance was not the flagship of Insomniac and they have done other series in the past as well and they were a success, but it was prosperous for Insomniac to move on, he further added.  “We’ve done Resistance 3 and we’re really into it and proud of it, but we’re not currently slate to do a Resistance 4”, he said.

On being pushed further regarding giving the Resistance series under new developer, Marcus Smith showed consent with the questions and said that he can definitely see that. Now looking back, you would remember that Resistance: Retribution on PSP was a work of Sony Bend, so Resistance series being done by other developer is not surprising.

So it is still ambiguous to say that Insomniac is outright done with Resistance and only will prove it. The studio is pretty much busy developing Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One and also working alongside Overstrike, it first multiplatform game or might either putting their heads together for Resistance 4 in near future, this is still yet to be confirmed but from you get a perception and possibility that after Resistance 3, Resistance and Insomniac might go their separate ways.
